Sustainable Utilization of Sri Lanka’s Ocean with Blue Biotechnology

Marine Biotechnology is one of the emerging sectors in the worldwide, diverse utilization of marine bioresources. Most of the marine resources are utilized to develop products and services.

Here our research group’s main aim is to achieve the concept of the Blue Biotechnology. That concept is concerned with the exploration and exploitation of marine bioresources into new product development. At the same time, our target also focuses on the conservation of those marine bioresources. Based on that, our research activities will be focused on the areas of products and services using blue biotechnology tools as below.
