The Food Technology degree curriculum encompasses subjects primarily focusing on food chemistry, food microbiology, food analysis, product development and food safety & legislations. The ultimate goal of the programme is to equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to be market-ready for employment opportunities in the country in Food Technology and related disciplines. Students taking up this programme will be able to engage in research and development which nurtures innovative and analytical thinking, both of which are an essential aspects in the industry and academia in the country. 

Program Outcomes

  1.  Ability to apply knowledge of basic sciences and biosystems technology fundamentals
  2.  In-depth technical competence in food technology
  3. Ability to apply existing knowledge and critical thinking skills for problem identification, formulation and solution
  4. Ability to utilize innovative approaches to address arising problems in food related industries
  5. Ability to communicate effectively with audiences of varying biosystems technology background and general public
